A True Love Story

On this memorable March ,
The sky was blue,

the sun was bright,

and the world was beautiful.
I remember the day so clearly,

because I met a special friend.

The first time you spoke to me,

I felt my cheeks become rosy.
The second time we met,

I couldn't stop my lips from stretching.
Soon after, we lost track of the world,

as you held me closely.

I had fallen in love,
With a man who I thought would stay forever.
Our love was pure, like a newborn white dove.

We would always hold hands,
Interlocking our fingers as if connecting ourselves into one,
While cruising down the streets,

listening to our favorite bands.

I would catch you looking at me.
And with just a look,

you would make my heart flutter like never before.
When we were together, we were free.

Those were the days,

when you stole my heart,
The days where nothing in my life mattered,

as long as we were together.
Little did I know, we would soon be apart.

It was a rainy day when you wouldn't look me in the eye.
You said we couldn't be together...
I felt the tears come to my eyes, as I asked why.

You didn't have the time for me,

All those words were lies, but what for?
Couldn't you have just let me go?
